Things To Do In Bordeaux In 2016

There is no shortage of things to do in Bordeaux this summer.

This beautiful part of South West France is also becoming more accessible to British tourists. With a potential new Eurostar service linking London to Bordeaux in only four hours, there are more reasons than ever to plan a visit. This new branch of high-speed rail network will allow non-stop travel to the world’s most popular wine region.

The line is due to enter service in 2017 and will operate from St Pancreas via a tunnel, but direct services will probably only commence in 2019. Still, this is certainly great news for wine lovers! The plans arose after the success of other routes linking Britain to Southern France, and will be particularly useful for those visiting the Atlantic coast and Basque region.

Unfortunately, it won’t be in ready in time for this year’s UEFA Euro France Championships.
